Ahoy Me Hearties! The 2nd annual Penobscot Pirate Paddle is getting underway Saturday, August 17th from 10 am to 12 pm.
The Penobscot Pirate Paddle will start at Lincoln Regional Airport. The entrance will be marked with a big sign. The road to the river bank is on the Access Road across from Maranatha Riverside Church. The start of the PPP will be at the airport, and will end at the South Lincoln Boat Landing. Treasures will be in the river at various places for the Pirates to discover. Vessels must not be motorized, they can be kayaks, paddle boards, paddle boats, canoes, row boats and even inner tubes of various form and choice. Remember to dress up both vessels and participants in your best pirate gear. A prize for the best vessel and costume will be awarded at the finish. For those pirates that do not wish to enjoy the river, we will have food trucks and activities at the South Lincoln Boat Launch. Participants should plan to have a point person to transport them from the finish line.
