The Lincoln Police Department is accepting applications for the position of a full-time Police Officer. All applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and must possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Non-blue pin applicants must have successfully completed Phase I and Phase II of the Law Enforcement Pre-Service Training Program or already be certified by the Maine Criminal Justice Academy. All applicants will be required to successfully pass an in-depth background to include medical, psychological and may be subjected to a polygraph examination. MCJA graduates preferred for the full-time position.

Duties include but not limited to enforcement of applicable state and local laws, proactive crime prevention patrol of the town streets, traffic control, and local ordinances. The successful applicant should have experience operating equipment such as front-end loader, screen and dump truck. This is a full-time position with benefits. A clean class B license is required; class A license preferred. This position requires weekend work and overtime during the winter months removing snow and ice from town roads. Public Works Equipment Operator

 The Town of Lincoln Public Works Department is currently seeking qualified applicants for a mechanic for the public works department. This is skilled manual labor in the repair and maintenance of various pieces of light and heavy motorized equipment used in road construction, road maintenance, snow removal, fire, rescue, police and solid waste department and other generalized work. This position performs major/minor repairs on equipment as the situation warrants, examples include scheduled maintenance, spring replacement, tire repair, transmission and brake repair, hydraulic pumps, valves and hoses, electrical and major engine repair. The individual in this position will be required to furnish their own tools to preform their job duties. This is a full-time position with benefits.
